Sherra is a bilingual Trial Attorney-Mediator offering mediation services in support of a wide-range of simple to complex multi-party civil litigation disputes. Her experience in the legal industry spans 10+ years primarily as first chair counsel. She is a multi-faceted, skilled negotiator with substantial experience as a highly proficient litigator at the federal and state level. Sherra is an avid runner, enthusiastic cyclist, group fitness instructor, and loving mother of a cranky - yet wonderful - dachshund named Augie. She also enjoys giving back to her community by speaking with law students at her alma mater and providing pro bono mediation services to the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.

Lance is General Counsel and a skilled business lawyer focusing his practice on providing transactional support and commercial dispute analysis to small and mid-sized companies. His experience spans 15+ years in the financial and energy sectors prior to establishing the Gilbert Law Firm. Lance is a lifelong Houstonian, Rockets fan, passionate cyclist, and enjoys providing pro bono advice to fellow Houstonians planning to launch their first business venture.


Prior to founding the Gilbert Law Firm, Sherra worked as in-house attorney for a major insurance company where she represented clients in over 800 civil cases, including 45+ jury trials as first-chair resulting in favorable verdicts. Sherra has extensive experience in personal injury/insurance litigation including the handling of automobile negligence, premises liability, property damage, uninsured/underinsured motorist, and general negligence cases. In addition to her significant trial and courtroom experience, Sherra has successfully resolved hundreds of lawsuits through alternative dispute resolution forums. Her mediation practice focuses primarily on navigating civil disputes by applying her experience as a litigator to the dispute resolution process.

Prior to founding the Gilbert Law Firm, Lance worked as an in-house legal counsel for several global energy companies. He has extensive experience in complex commercial transactions, including construction, property, and supply-chain transactions, intellectual property rights and licensure, domestic and international compliance, M&A transactions, and dispute resolution management.
